Abandonment

Who has struggled with this? From friends or family?

Hello!

I struggle with abandonment from my mother, just because I didn't want to listen to her she disowned me like I'm not her daughter anymore. What makes it really uncomfortable is that I'm renting an apartment from her I really feel like it's time to move out. Since she's been acting crazy, for instance today I find she taped one of my exit door shut. She is freaking out of her mind.

Be strong, and never let what people do to you define or get you down. Think positive and mindfully overcome it. I am not saying it's easy, but it's certainly doable.

Haven't spoken to one of my step sons in 3 years.  He decided to post a lot of negative things on Facebook about his dad and siblings so my husband told him never to contact the family again.  Guess we abandoned him but he has always been trouble

Being abandoned comes in many forms and it's never a good thing.

There comes a time when you have to stop crossing oceans for people who wouldn't jump puddles for you.

Thank God I have never experience abandonment from any of my friends or family.

Well my sister and brother abandoned me after our mother died.  Took the money and ran so to speak.  They both have had drug and alcohol problems and got mad at me because I was the only one my mom trusted to be her executor.  They got their share but they could care less about me.  My best friend in high school abandoned me for a guy who ended up abusing her but you know what I believe that God sends us people sometimes only for a season.  So I just go with the flow he knows what his best for me.

I have. After refusing to participate in or condone certain behaviors family members have chosen not to deal with me, and maybe they feel like I've chosen not to deal with them.
