Your Favorite Musical Decade?

I have a tough time deciding, it would either be the 70s or the 80s. Both decades had some great songs as well as some clunkers.

I am caught between selecting the '80s and the '80s in terms of a favorite musical decade. I was born in the mid-80s, so I understandably do not remember most of the music that came out (huge Michael Jackson fan, by the way). I grew up in the '90s and I vividly remember the music of New Kids on the Block, Bobby Brown, MC Hammer, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Christian Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, and the like. Ah, fun times.

This is a difficult question to answer because there is much to love about every decade's music and some of that music is timeless.  Then you run into the issue of when does one decade's music end and another's start?  (Music from 1978-9 can easily fall into 1980's music and music from 1980-1 can feel like 70's music, etc.). So there is a little bit of wiggle room there.



If I had to pick one decade, I would probably lean to the 80's because that is when I was growing up and going to high school.  Radio was a bigger part of my entertainment and listening to Casey Kasem and American Top 40 was a highlight of each weekend.  So I will pick the 80's with an honorable mention to the 70's as I still remember many of those firsthand as a youngster.
