How do you feel about joining panel surveys?

I dont join panel surveys.  Not sure of information they collect and not sure if it's worth it.

When it comes to joining survey panels, I like to do my homework first.  What have other been saying about the site? Keeping an open mind about it all, I look for patterns in the experiences of others. 

I know that having a handful of sites to work on a daily basis is the key to worthwhile earnings.  I try to make sure that my handful of sites it worth my time and energy. 

So far the ones that I am a member of have been a good match for me.
