So I've been checking out Legion on FX. It's pretty good. It's kinda trippy, so I don't know if it's for everyone. But it's based on the comic about the X-Men's Prof X's son.

I don't think it's based on a movie. It's based on a comic of the same name.

No, the original movie was about angels and this is about mutants. Two completely different things. :)

I was surprised that Legion was even made. Not many people realize the X-Men connection to it. I had to explain it to my wife.
