House Energy and Commerce Committee has been working 24 hours so far

on the new health care markup. There are 150 amendments they have to vote on. After 24 hours, they have only gone through 22 of them! At this rate, it's going to take quite a few weeks to get this markup done.

Of course, they are partisan on every vote. What else is new. Then there's the Freedom Caucus who isn't happy with the beginning of this new health care bill. Evidently they don't understand how these things work, which is pretty strange since they are in Congress. So why act like the new health care is not conforming to their ideas?

What I don't like is how they want to keep adding people to Medicaid. Medicaid wasn't meant to be used as true health care vehicle for everyone. It was meant as emergency coverage when losing a job, the poor when they have no other options, etc.

It's just really strange how this is shaking out and it's crazy.

Well, at least they're not putting it out there before anyone in Congress reads it. 

It's probably going to be an arduous process and will take quite a bit of time. It's not like they can drop everything else to get it done.

Yea, pretty crazy with all that paperwork. But they do get time off weeks at a time, am I correct?
