Adding to the Forums - "A newbie area"
« on: September 03, 2016, 01:03:29 pm »
What if we designed a "Newbie" area of the forums as a topic where newbies can ask questions, get advice, seek out knowledge from those who are on here either alot or daily. I think this area would help because there are alot of Newbies posting things in the forums about payments, and how to make money and these are things we as members should have in one place.

I responded to your earlier suggestion regarding the Fusion Cash Poll as I think it is an interesting concept.  However, in this case, I think it is unnecessary.  I have been on Fusion for 2 years and "newbies" just simply ask their questions or make their comments and people are able to see their status and respond.  This aspect is already incorporated into the blog and works fine as it is in my opinion.

Agreed.  There are enough categories in the forum than any newbie can go to and ask questions or seek advice.  Members who have been with Fusion Cash for any length of time are always active on every category, so navigating around and posting for everybody, including new members, should come very easily.

I think the biggest problem with this idea (a good idea in principle for overall organizational purposes) is that many newbies would not necessarily think, know, or realize to post in a newbie forum/folder.  Many newbies would still just post a question in whatever forum they find themselves reading.  Remember that the primary characteristic of being a newbie is that you are new to the site and probably not fully familiar and comfortable with all of the site's pages and links.

I think it is important for FC veterans to assist the newbs whenever possible, but when there are already support and suggestion folders to post in, adding a newbie folder would just cause even more overlap and cross-posting.
