I live in the northeast side of New Mexico and we have had triple digit weather almost every day for a month and no rain. Finally had  1/2" last night.  one month to the day since our last rain. so today it has already gotten up to 103 and feels like 106. Did my volunteer work handing out commodities and for 4 hours  sweat was just pouring off  of all of us even with 2 swamp coolers and several large fans. Praying we will get more rain tonight. It is so dry here  unles you keep the water going on the lawn all the time it is just drying up. All the land around us is brown it is so dry.

I live in PA.  Our temps have been in the middle to high 90's, but with the humidity the 'real feel' is in the triple digits.  We finally had rain last night, but it didn't cool anything.

Wow, that's insanely hot. I live in Florida and feel your pain about the heat. It's not been quite that bad here, but close. Air conditioning is a necessity here in the summer, make no doubt.

Been there...survive extreme heat! I now live in a cool state: Alaska- It does not get hotter than 85 degrees. To survive extreme heat-all these work: Air conditioning, drink lots of water, take a cooling shower, stay indoors during the hottest part of the day (From 10 am to 3 or 4 pm) and wear cooling fabrics.

I also live in PA, and we have some crazy, stupid weather all the time, but we usually have days and days of rain in the warm months. This year, it has rained I think maybe 3 or 4 times and all of my plants are practically reaching for the hose themselves! It is really hard to keep up with. This whole season has reminded me of the one episode of Twilight Zone, where the earth was moving closer to the sun and everyone was dying and things were melting. Augh! I have also lived in TX and FL, so I can understand your pain with the triple digits and no rain. Here's to hoping that your (and everyone else's!) ac keeps running and keeps us all cool.
