Free night!
« on: June 11, 2016, 12:14:06 pm »
We are going to a free baseball game (minor league), free parking, free food and drinks, and free gifts tonight.  This is given by our one hospital to cancer patients.  A few months ago we were given free tickets to the Sands Casino to see Tony Orlando perform.  I guess this is one way they try to make us feel better.

It' always fun to get free stuff. We are going to the ballgame next Saturday courtesy of the Foresters, where we have our life insurance.

Well Nancy that sounds awesome and like a lot of fun.  I hope you go and have an absolutely wonderful time.  I am disabled and I end up staying in my house all the time.  I could go out but I don't so have yourself some fun.

Wow! I think that's just a great idea for your hospital to have to give cancer patients free nights out. It is a good way to get your mind off your problems for an evening and must be very uplifting. I hope you have a great time at the ballgame!

My kids have always gotten 1 free ticket for local AAA baseball games through the library summer reading program.  It kinda stinks though cause as parents it still becomes costly.  We have our admission and food.  I've taken my kids on one occasion and they were in it for nothing more than hotdogs and souvenirs.  I think it's awesome that the hospital is doing this for cancer patients.  Have fun!

We had so much fun last night and everything was free!  Tickets and parking, free!  Lehigh Valley Hospital had a huge section with tables sectioned off.  As we entered, we all received a baseball cap with Lehigh Valley Hospital Cancer on back.  The food was all you could eat and drink from 5 to 8:30 pm.  The food and drinks were in our 'private section'. We had hot dogs, hamburgers, fried chicken, pasta, potato salad, baked beans, chips, watermelon, cookies, and soda, water, beer.  Half way through the game the announcer said there are cancer patients and survivors from LV Hospital and would we all stand up.  We did and the entire stadium gave us a standing ovation.  After the game (which we won) there were fireworks.  It really was a great night,  thank you Lehigh Valley Cancer Wing for the night and for helping all of us to live a longer life!  ❤️

Nancy5 sounds like you had a great time last night!
You deserve it.

My aunt just found out she has cancer every where.  She has had it about 3 times in the past and beat it.  Not sure what is going on this time.

Glad you had a good time.  I have a son that played major league baseball for a time, we went to lots of minor league games and always had a great time.  The fields are easier to get around, parking, eating , seating are always FUN!
