How many dogs do you think one person should have?

well depends how your lifestyle is.. if you work all the time and hardly home, having any kind of pet but a fish is okay..

I have MS and I can still get around but I have my days where i can't but my husband or my sons.. help out.. my both dogs are fixed so i know no puppies... same breed one is mini-dashuash and other male one is wire and bigger than my mimi...Mimi is younger then my joey who is the male dog i had so far as a pup 8yrs he is getting older so he sleeps alot.. now mimi she plays alot... and all we have to do is just throw a tennis ball around and she is happy.but she will bark with the ball in her mouth she is funny and fun.. but they are a big responibilty to care for them . I treat mine 2 like kids... we all make sure they have there check ups like we do.. so I say like for me 2 is maxed.. anymore i wont be able to take care of them they need alot of care and attendtion and of course-  they are like people if you dont show them anything they will get mad and may snap at you for lag of it. If you dont have the heart to do it then one shouldnt own a pet of anysort even a bird. they need care too.

My aunt has like 4 or 5 and whenever I go to her house it just seems so hectic.  I feel like any more than 2 is just too much going on and it would get  hard to keep track of them. 
(I have one and that's plenty for me) I love dogs

I think that you should be able to have as many as you can care for.  As long as you love the dogs and take care of them, that is all that should matter.  If you are able to afford many and can take care of them more power to you!

I agree that if you can take care of them properly you should have as many as you want depending on where you live. I had 4 dogs and 2 cats a few years ago. They all got old and died but I did learn one was enough for me.

No more than two dogs, especially if you are in the city, then maybe only one. Dogs bark alot, and probably should be in the country where they can run and be free.

I think you should have as many dogs as you would like, just as long as you have plenty of space for them. Some people get a lot of dogs and can not afford to take care of them that is wrong.
