I have a job at a residential group home and I have a second job online dropshipping on ebay.
My online job is easily worked around my ever changing work schedule at the group home....there we work 12 hour shifts and get a new schedule every two weeks.

Nope. What I would have to pay for child care would completely offset it. I don't spend that much during the holidays anyway.

I have worked a minimum of two jobs since I was thirteen years old. I started off with a paper route, shoveling snow and cutting lawns. In high school I worked at two restaurants, a landscape center, did odd jobs once a month and started lending my money out to other people. In college I worked at two restaurants and a bank. When I started my own business I added three other businesses-all with ten employees minimum. Now I work about fifty hours during the week (first shift) and about forty hours a week on weekends and second shift.  All of this money goes to my family. I also have a third place that I work for five hours a week-all of the money for this goes to stocks-which will eventually all go to my family.

I'm sure online money making sites could help me earn extra money any time. Just do what you feel works for you.

I work part time for H&R Block but that's only seasonal. I should pick up another part time gig since I am home from my full time job on temporary disability but not getting paid.

I got a seasonal job in a large national department store last year.  I was on my feet for hours at a time with only a 15 minute break and found out how bad my arthritis is.  I didn't make it through the entire season as my body ached so badly I had to take several OTC pain killers to sleep each night after I worked.  One night I could hardly get out of my car after I got home.  I had worked 7 hours with only the 15 minute break.  I now know that any job needs to be more sedentary.

That is against labor laws.  If you work 6 hours they are required by law to give you a 30 minute break.  If someone complains they will get in trouble.

I work two PT jobs now, as well as lots of volunteering...wish I had more hours in a day to do it all!

I think at this point in time it's kinda late to be getting a "seasonal" job and yes, you are  right there never is more than 2-3 registers open.  I think stores have cut-back rather than added.

I don't have a job, I'm a stay at home mom, but this is the time to try and get a part time job because of the holidays. Plus the college kids should be coming home for the holidays.

It's only a couple of weeks til Christmas.  It seems getting a "seasonal" job this late in the game is pointless.  For the employee and the business.  They will be laying you off in just a couple of weeks.
It would be time to be laid off before you were fully trained.

And the thing about retail seasonal jobs is most of them only offer about 10 hours a week.

This is what I was going to say also. I am not really able to get a seasonal or part time job given the nature of my regular job, but I consider my Internet earnings to be a supplemental "job/income".
