I have woken up in a foul mood but it generally gets erased as I take my two dogs for a mile walk. They never seem to be in a foul mood.  It is all about embracing life, playing and eating for them (and tennis *bleep*)! I think that we can all learn happiness from dogs.  Maybe it is the tennis ball?  Perhaps we should embrace tennis *bleep* as holding the secret to happiness. I guess it is the simple things in life. My family has more foul days then I do but they have clouded their days with the seeming need for material possessions.  My life is uncluttered and I spend over eighty percent of it in front of a computer screen working. I never have to search frantically for things in the morning and do not have to spend much time deciding what to wear-because I really don't own much.

I wake up in bad moods all the time mostly because I don't sleep well and am in pain from various illnesses. I try not to take it out on others, but I just rarely feel good.

Haven't you talked to a psychiatrist about that?

If I wake up in a foul mood, I try to zip my mouth shut.  If I had a pet chicken, I would never be in a foul mood.
