I like to purchase online and have never had an issues with people getting credit or debit card information. I buy from trusted sites.

I find myself shopping online more and more and I can see myself never returning to a store ever again if I didn't have to! LOL! I use eBates and other pre-shopping sites to earn cash back. It's just too easy! Who wouldn't want to stay home on black Friday to shop at home, when there are crazy people out there! LOL!  :silly:

I do a lot of shopping online. I have learned the best tactic to protect myself from people who want to steal my card number[ doesn't matter whether it's credit or debit card].  The bank allows a daily expense limit [usually it is really high]. I have talked to my bank and this is what I do now.
I keep my daily spending limit at zero.
I call them when I want to buy something.
I set the amount closest to what I consider my spending total will be.
I do my shopping.
I call them when I finish.
The bank sets my daily spending limit back to zero.
I am safe from fraud.
it's like asking "mom and dad" for a daily allowance, but I don't care. I am so tired of fraud, oh so tired of fraud.

I shop online, but I use Paypal as much as possible. I feel safer, but I also use my CC when Paypal isn't an option.
