Maintaining Older Vehicles

My husband has a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder which he desperately does not want to let go of. About 5 years ago the transmission went and we knew it would cost thousands to repair/replace it. We thought long and hard about it and decided to get the transmission refurbished which was a lesser cost. As I say, that was 5 years ago and it is still running. This year, we purchased a replacement vehicle ready for when the Pathfinder expires......still waiting!
