I was wrong and I am so glad.  37 years without a Triple Crown winner means it's about time to have another one.  Steve Cauthen was 18 the last time when he won the Triple Crown and now he's 55.  He was there to see it.  American Pharaoh is obviously a great horse and he's a 2 year old.  They're not retiring him to stud, he's going to keep racing.  That's fantastic.

I'm so excited that we finally had a Triple Crown winner! But I'm disappointed that I wasn't following it this year. I've been disappointed every year, so I didn't even bother getting my hopes up.

This is after that fact, but I don't know if it is because of my age or what, but I could care less.  I am a sports fan but I have a real problem comparing an athlete to a horse.
