Spent yesterday in ER

Done with my chemo and waiting to start radiation.  For the past few days my legs have hurt (a major burning sensation), and they are swollen.  It got so bad I finally went to the ER.  At first they thought it might be blood clots, but after a ultra sound and catscan it turned out to be neuropaty caused by the chemo.  There is nothing you can do for it other than pain meds.  The doctor told me sometimes it can go away, and other times you will have to live with it!

i am so sorry for the pain you suffer from. no one should ever suffer from such pain. i will send my prayers your way.

My mother has been through cancer several times and refers to chemo as "the gift that keeps on giving"... but seriously, they are so busy saving you from the cancer they neglect to mention all the stuff the chemo is going to do to you for the rest of your life. I am sorry for your pain.
