It'll just take time.  I know that sucks but there's really no other answer.

This has never happened to me but i would have to agree that i has to take time.  I have been with my husband for almost eight years and prior to that my longest relationship was a couple of weeks as a teenager.

I think it just takes time and a whole lot of whiskey in my case.

Takes time. Don't dwell on it. Get out and spend time with friends and family. Be glad it happened now instead of 20 years down the road.  As my grandfather used to tell me" there is more fish in the sea" This one is no good throw it back and find a better one. I did. He was right.

I have never experienced it before but hope when time heals or whenever that will be will you let us know what you did. I am pretty sure no one has a single solution but I am pretty sure you are in control. Take it easy on yourself and be strong!

Remember all the bad things your ex did lol. Seriously, it helps you not miss them as much. On a positive note, delve deeper into the things you like doing. I forgot how much I missed certain hobbies that I abandoned because my partner was pretty demanding of my time. I'm back into learning languages now, working out daily, eating healthier. Breakups make me sad and lethargic at first and then there's this burst of energy and motivation  :P
