MTV Where is the music?

Oh the musics been gone for along time.  You tube took its place where you can play what you want.  I still enjoy watching mtv shows thou...atleast some of them.

Reality TV has become a persuasive element of television nowadays...unfortunately. I too remember when MTV was centralized around...MUSIC! Apparently, they too have caved into the pressures of the ratings war by falling into the reality TV pit. And I hate that. :-(

I agree - I remember watching MTV in the '80's and watching videos. I haven't watched MTV in years.

Everyone is on Youtube. They would have no ratings if they played only/mostly videos like they did 20-30 years ago.

I remember  watching MTV when I was younger and it was videos ,concerts and movies about music. what happened to the old days?

The old days are over, now it's basically all reality shows. MTV is the only channel my daughter watches.

Sure do miss those music videos that they played regularly on MTV, too. Just like everyone else, they have become way to commercialized.

MTV ruined themselves. They should now just call it stupid TV. It is no longer a music TV station. Neither is VH1 and Fuse. No need to bother anymore.
