There is a tendency for people to read fiction.
It is a "world to escape to".
My bookshelf has mostly non-fiction books.
I do have a few health reference books.
Sometimes, though a topic is important, it can be hard to read about.
Books serve two purposes that I can think of: awareness and entertainment.
