cursing
« on: September 24, 2014, 03:35:28 pm »
Every day I hear children cursing at school; in the classroom, on the street, on the bus, in the subways. It bothers me tremendously to hear these young children using profanity in public places. Sometimes I think that the reason why these children are using profanity in public places because they think that they're untouchable. I believe that the government should come up with a law to prohibit children and adults from using profanity in public places.

There used to be a law against it....in fact if you look at the laws, they probably still have cursing in public against the law, it's just that they don't enforce it.  It's really sad, but a lot of times kids are cursed at by their own folks....why shouldn't they talk that way?  We are not taking the high road anymore in society.  The low road is the accepted norm and everything goes downhill because of this apathy!

I think many are learning from either movie or TV show. Also parents are responsible for kids too

I think kids are glorified too much for cussing by some parents, but not all of course. They think it's cute or funny, so they upload it on a vine for instance for the world to see. The child watches others reactions to it and think it's funny to adults, therefore it's acceptable. Of course, it isn't at all, and it is up to parents to teach their children otherwise.

I hear it so much... especially in the movies...and sometimes you feel so insulted by someone you want to insult them back and that's one way to do it.
