Ouch - I understand your frustration.  Our daughters will always need us and we should be grateful that they do.  However by age 21, I would expect some patience in the interaction.

They never grow up when they want something and when we wanna remind them we the parent we tell them they ain't grown.....so they never grow up...I was still my daddy baby gurl when he died last year and my mom would always remind me I was her baby when she was living.....I miss my parents.....

My mom lived to be 93 and she acted like a spoiled brat until the very end.  She once told me she believed that one became mature when they "turned 21, left home or got married".  Ha! LOL!  ::)

Your babies are always your babies.  My Mom just passed away and even though I'm an adult, my life will never be the same.  Give them all the attention you can now while you are alive.  ENJOY IT.

I don't think kids ever grow up, they just change.

From my observations: from a parent's perspective - never!  From the child's perspective: as soon as they tell you they are no longer a child!  ;) :)

Well the prefrontal cortex region of the brain is not fully developed until mid 20s, so you could argue that even young adults are not completely grown up.
