resolving skin itching and bites
« on: July 13, 2014, 06:25:27 am »
A tablet with galium, urtica ur, nat mur, kali sulph, kali mur blend [Ayurvedic medicine]  works the best for skin problems, such as bites, eczema.... I used it last year for a persistent skin rash from a bug bite.
I used to scratch when I was young.
I know it just irriates it more, so I use a cold press or tap.
I have seen reviews for need oil working as a solution for bites and rashes .....I have not tried that myself.

Well when we were little and and we got bug bites we would just use bleach.. We actually still use this method.. I remember my mom telling a story about how one of my cousins was covered in masquito bites and she poured bleach on his back and they were gone.. A neighbor of hers told her she wouldn't have belived it if she had seen it for herself. So the neighbor eventually got bit and used the bleach as well.. I think it's amazing the things in our homes that can be a cure for such things.. Even tea tree oil is an essential that is suppost to help bug bites as well.. I have never tried the method myself..

My "go to" for irritating bug bites is to use cold compresses to stop the itching sensation.  That and strong will power to not scratch the area.  I also try to get myself distracted by some activity because I find when I stop thinking about the bites, I don't notice the itch.

The bleach solution sounds plausible as I read the reason for the itch is it's the insect's saliva that is irritating the skin causing the itch, so I would think the bleach would sanitize the saliva neutralizing the irritation.  I might need to try that next time I have an itchy bite.

For mosquito bites, Witch Hazel works really well too...Conventional Witch Hazel works a lot better than the all natural for some strange reason. It took the itch and red out almost immediately.

I have not tried it but I read that if you heat a spoon and hold it to the bite it will kill the poison that causes the itch, not too hot though.

You completely sound reasonable to me.  Bleach kills a lot of things and It may burn for a moment but a shot would be worse for me. I know someone who actually makes a bath up and adds bleach to it and soaks in the bath tub and it seems to help him.
