Free apps daily for your smartphone or tablet

Amazon has a free app of the day. I have gotten 6 apps over the past 7 months for my tablet. You do need Amazon's appstore for downloading and installing the app. Just go on their site and go to the "Department" link then to "Appstore for Android" and then click "Free App of the Day".

Another place to check is AppGratis at http://appgratis.com/android. I have never gotten one from them but believe there are no strings attached. They only have 1 free app daily. The list below the free app are the previous days (which are no longer free). What is good about this site is that they also have IPad and IPhone free apps.

I forgot to add that these free apps typically cost money.
