What are some of the things you have done to speed up your computer?

It can depend on your internet connection and how many things you have on your computer.

Yes this program is good one. I use it and I like how it cleans all the cookies also.

I might try the CCleaner, I am usually cautious of downloads.

I usually will start by cleaning out my "cookies" and then I do a disk cleanup and sometimes disk defragmentation. That way all the unused files are cleared out and used ones are compressed together to make more room.

I have Kaspersky virus cleaner and it has done a remarkable job keeping my computer running well. I had an issue a while back and there technicians were really helpful.

Well i usually start by doing a speed test as to where my computer is and where it should be..
Normally when my computer starts slowing down i will clear my history and cookies because that speeds up the browser..
Then i would run my virus program which i switched up from CCcleaner to Advanced system care because of the extra options i got. Both are free or you can also choose to pay for them..
Next i normally run my malware because i see it as an extra precaution.
Normally while my viruse and malware programs are running i scan through my browser to see if anything got added to my toolbar like extra add on's and hidden things i don't see right away also i empty my recycle bin daily and this is also another thing i do while i am scanning.
I also make sure there is nothing hidden in my programs that i did not install because sometimes things will install without permission and you would never know untill you look.
Another thing i do to avoid slowness is I always run my programs through my virus scanner before i open them.. I really am not sure it actually speeds up a computer.. But i do know that if you get a hidden virus in a program or application and you run it that could slow down or even harmt he computer. SO i like to scan my programs before opening them :D
Also you must remember that Some speeds are due to internet speed and computer speed and also if you have any pending computer updates .. Sometimes A defrag although i highly do not reccomend a defrag unless you will not be using your computer for a while.. :)

I run a scan everytime I use fusion because there are usually 25 to 35 threats after a half hour on fusion.

Absolutely nothing. I have two computers and they're both too slow for words.  :( I'm absolutely terrified to download anything for fear of getting ripped off, and I don't want to spend the money to get it professionally done since they don't always help too much but still charge a lot. OOOOOhhhh!  :o

my main 3 programs that I use are avg antivirus, which I do a full scan at least twice a week..ccleaner, which I run every day, and then malwarebytes that I run a full scan at least twice a week.  all three programs are free, and all do a lot of good to keep me running at a decent pc which is a few years old.

I recently took my computer in to an internet service and they cleaned it up for a reasonable fee. It works faster than ever now. I was quite pleased with the results!  :D
