Aggie I'm so sorry. I lost my dad over 20 years ago and at times it feels like it just happened yesterday.

My mother just passed away on Easter as well. I actually just got back from being up there and clearing out her house late last night. I also lived far away from my mom and hadn't had a chance to see her that often over the past five years. Before the recession when we had to move far away, I used to see her at least three weekends a month. After the economy tanked and we had to move where work is, I could only see her three times a year, and that was very hard.

I've very much appreciated reading other people's posts in this thread too about their own loss.

Mother's day is always sad for those of us who have loss a parent.  My mother have been gone for over twenty-five years and I miss her so much, but I am glad she knew how much I loved her and I am so bless to still have my father who is 93 years old.

I hear you.  I lost my mom in February of this year and I don't even want to think about Mother's Day.  We, too, were very close. And everyday I have an overwhelming desire to talk to her.  My mother and I had more fun together and I thought I would have no regrets, but you can always find something you wish you did better.  Do not dwell on regrets. She knew you loved her.  Mother's know.
