i hate when you get up to go to the bathroom, and you are up for the next hours and when you finally do get back to sleep, the alarm clock goes off and you have only slept like 20 mins.

I've been there. Those nights are horrible. The longer you can't sleep the worse it gets. I hope you got some relief eventually. Healing is a long slow and many times very painful process.

I woke up and it was 1am, I tossed and turned the rest of the night, then both my kiddos were wanting to get up at 4am, so hopefully I will get some sleep tonight.

Oh, the terror of sleep deprivation. :( I hope it improves for you. I've heard that shutting off electronics and focusing your mind on something like crossword puzzles for a while works. But if it's just pain keeping you up... I'm not sure what would help. :-\ Stronger pain medication? :star:

I hate when that happens. Drinking chamomile tea sometimes helps me relax before sleeping.

Last night i couldn't fall asleep til maybe 3am and woke up around 8am not feeling that tired.Maybe when you get to be 50ish you don't need that much sleep.I'll keep telling myself that tonight when i can't fall asleep.

I have worked hard today.  About so sore I don't know if I can sleep. lol.  Lately I seem to get woke up a lot at night and then can't go back to sleep.

I have found the same thing happening to me, not sure why it is happening, but I have tried taking a pm sleep aid and it seems to help, but I feel like crap when I wake up, so not sure it is even worth taking. If you all find something that works let us all know!

I'm sorry that you couldn't get sleep and weren't feeling well. Hopefully the meds kicked in and you were able to get rest. Nights like this suck. You may want to talk with your doctor to see if he has suggestions for times like this.
