Mother's Day Deliveries
« on: May 10, 2014, 04:46:03 pm »
This is the second year, in a row, that I missed a Mother's Day delivery from my son who lives out of state.

The people from the delivery company show up at the door with no advance notice that they're coming.
They leave a note on the door suggesting that I call them.
When I call them they tell me that I need to "pick up" the item because there will be no more deliveries this weekend.
I ask them to leave a note on my order number so people understand that I have no car so I need to have them redeliver, when they can.
They tell me their computers are down so they can't notate my order.
I tell them that they have my permission to leave the delivery at my door when they redeliver if I'm unable to answer the door.
They tell me their policy is to NOT leave the gift at the door.  Why does it have to be so difficult?

Anyone dealing with the same frustration?
Have a great day!

Sorry to hear that. When I send gifts to my mom, I usually let her know that there will be something delivered to her and ask her to hang around so that she can get it. It takes alittle bit away from the surprise, but atleast I know she got it and the flower hasn't been shuffled too much.

So sorry to hear you missed your "delivery" but remember the delivery companies are super busy at this time and unfortunately they don't seem to have enough people working to get it all done.  But, do have a wonderful Mothers' Day and remember it's not the "material things" that matter at all.
