Keeping Windows XP

I have an old desktop that barely manages to run Windows XP.... I won't be dealing with trying to change anything on it. I don't even really use it anymore. There are some things stored on its hard drive though that I've been meaning to retrieve. I suppose I could remove a lot of programs and never connect it to the internet and just use it as a sort of storage device, at least until I'm financially able to give it a good make-over so it'll will have a larger HD and update the system.

I have got new computer about a year ago and installed with Windows 7.  So now I don't have to worry about XP.    Windows 7 is better anyway.

Move the files you want to keep to the Cloud (free) and install Linux (free). It just might surprise you how much life is left in the old gal.

Oh ... that's wonderful oldbuddy ... good reply.  sadly I purchased as refurbished computer with "7" on it ... ah, live and learn huh?

What's the sad part? You can still run Linux on it, in fact you can even Dual Boot it and keep your old Windows too, or boot it from a USB stick or CD and not change anything that was there.

I did use Windows XP, now using Windows Vista which is always giving me problems.
