Is the preschool very important? ot not?

I think it is important. Some parents choose to teach their children at home instead but some kids don't listen or pay attention maybe because they used to see moms and dads everyday. But if they're at school they see other kids listening to the teacher so they'll be encouraged and listen too.

I think it depends on the particular preschool's motto.  I went to preschool and loved it.  It set the foundation for me to love learning, which I do to this day.

I think YES, but it all depends on the home environment or the sitter where the child is.  I know from experience that Kindergarten teachers are looking for kids that know their numbers, their alphabet and know how to write their names.

If you cannot afford a preschool then make sure that you at home or the daycare/sitter teaches your child the basic stuff, school this times are very picky and like for your children to know more than what they can tech them.  My daughter was evaluated that way in K and she had been on a preschool.

I never went to preschool either, and I don't think it's important at all... It's probably a nice experience for the kid though.

It doesn't seem as though kids are allowed to be kids anymore.  They get sent off to school way too young in my opinion.

It is helpful in getting children socialized and in today's society probably a help in getting them started in learning some basic academic skills because so many parents don't bother to educate them in any way at all.

I think preschool is very important, we cannot compare when we were in school, the work is so much harder so the earlier the better.  My son when to preschool twenty-seven years ago so it have been around a while now.  Kids are very smart these days.

I believe preschool is very important because the younger the children start learning the better it is for them. However, I believe that these babies should not stay in school for a very long time because they will be exhausted.
