As the price of gas increases, so do everything we buy goes up.

My newest daytime project is only three and a half miles from home.  I filled my tank for the first time in six to seven weeks on Sunday! Most of my life I am working out of the house so gas just cost me less than eight dollars a week! I am hoping to get on with this company just because of the low gas cost, short commute time and...what the heck...they don't pay to bad! The commute time alone allows me an extra hour per day, five hours per week, twenty hours per month to work on my night time/weekend job!  I even had time to work out this week! I haven't had this human time in what seems to be forever! I was surprised that gas was up to three dollars and fifty cents a gallon but I got ten cents off per gallon as a grocery bonus...took some of the sting away.

Gas prices go up every year in the spring. They have been fluctuating in the same basic range for years now, so it's not really concerning. If it's hurting your budget, you probably need to do a better job of budgeting.

It is hard to not respond to your comment with angry words.  There are a lot of people who are having a hard time right now.  A lot of people are struggling.  There are people who do not have a job and cannot find a job.  And yes, they are looking.  Money only goes so far.  Just because a person is having a hard time does not mean they are doing a bad job at budgeting or that they are wasting money.  People who have never had to work for anything or had to struggle just do not get it.

Please do not put words in mouth as you're just trying to find something to get worked up about. My comments were on gas prices and how they have been consistent for quite some time. This should allow you to reasonably budget for them.

I've noticed gas has been going up.  Paid $3.37 the other day and it's already gone up a penny between yesterday and today.  I drive to work so I don't have any other choice but to pay.  I use gas buddy sometimes to find the cheapest rate in my area.

I am not putting words in your mouth.  YOU said the words.  And I am not worked up.  But it does make me mad when somebody says "well if you do not have the money for something or can't afford something then you need to budget better or get a better job.  And YOU did say "you need to do a better job budgeting".  My point is there are people who are doing the best they can with what they have.  And it has nothing to do with not budgeting their money correctly.  Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a high paying job with 40 hours a week.

You're doing it again. It might make you mad that when you can’t afford something people say to get a better job or to stop wasting your money, but I didn’t say that. I did say that you need to do a better job budgeting if the gas price fluctuations are hurting your budget. Which is true. When you make your monthly budget,  you should account for those fluctuations. Even at the high end, if gas prices go up 50 cents in a month, with me filing up my 18 gal tank every two weeks, we're talking about a $9.00 increase. That's not what's killing one's budget. I'd say most people claiming that don't actually make a budget.

I understand that not everyone is fortunate enough to have a 40 hour a week job, but please don't make the mistake in believing that everyone with one was just handed it.

Don't complain about gas prices think about the port diesel people have diesel vehicles like me path fail almost 50 $.60 more a gallon than premium price.Plus everything you buy his call on diesel so you're paying even more because of the higher price of diesel.

The price of gas in our town is increasing too fast lately. Increased 10% in a week this is horrible.
