Straight Talk?
« on: January 20, 2014, 09:36:21 am »
Does anyone use Straight Talk for their home phone service?  My AT&T home phone service is just too high and someone had said Straight Talk was good and would certainly be cheaper.  Susposed to be able to just plug existing cordless phones into the box.  Would appreciate any info anyone has.

They have Straight Talk at Walmart so go get one and try it. They give your money back if anything doesn't work.

Was thinking about getting Straight Talk in place of my AT&T phone. Lately I've been racking up the texts and I hear with Straight Talk you can get 1000 texts free...? Or is it unlimited? Hmmm, will have to look into it more. Cell phones are a good bet, I think, in place of landlines.  :)

I don't use any kind of home phone because it gets costly month after month..
If you are planning on using the straigh talk home service i would advice you to get some information on it first.. You can always visit the website for more information or give them a call.  There is also many other alternatives to home phones like the magic jack and vonage so make sure you shop around for the lowest prices at your convienance. It's good to always shop around before you decide because although it may not be a contract it still can be a hassle and cost you extra legwork. Would also suggest looking at some reviews on straight talk in your area.. Although reviews may not infulence your decision they might help as to how good it will work in your area Good luck with the straight talk service! Hope you let everyone know how well it went afterwards

I pay $29 a month and get back $5 for every referral I send them for unlimited voice and text, plus I get free Wi-Fi Internet on the same phone. I bought my own smartphone on Craigslist.

I haven't used it before. But like another suggested here, I believe some stores give you a money back guarantee for it. Ask around.

They have a plan that is unlimited texts and talk for $45 a month.  And 5 gig of data for the Internet.  It says unlimited on that too but if you read the fine print it is only 5 gig.

I never heard of it. For cell phone I use Virgin Mobile - unlimited data. It works for me. If you're looking for a replacement for your main home phone, you can use a service like Vonage, etc...
