Minimum Window Size -- how to change setting?
« on: December 20, 2013, 10:54:51 am »
The smallest window size that I could use for Firefox was about 3*2 inches on my XP desktop before yesterday.

Yesterday the minimum size changed to 5*2 inches.
Have no idea why or how to change it back to the smaller size.

I know how to change the font size and make the contents of the window smaller (Control -), but that does nothing to change to physical size of the window.

I still have the 3*2 minimum size for my IE browser and my Chrome browser on the desktop.  I can go to 2*2 on my laptop for all browsers.

Anyone know how to change the minimum size of a window?

The only way I know is to change the resolution on your graphics card, but then that would make the others smaller too.

Sometimes when I log in, which is usually when I'm doing the paid email, I get a message that I've got my browser set on zoom even though I don't. So I think that issue is on Fusion Cash's end not yours.

You're right that the "zoom" message is a FC issue.  There is a "hide" link that allows you to eliminate the message for awhile.

I have been working with Mozilla/Firefox support to resolve the size problem.

First:  the problem is caused by an error in  the coding when Firefox was updated in that the minimum size was defined to be 400px instead of 200px.

The correction process involved creating a user file with an instruction that would override the standard size specs.   Don't consider myself to be that much of a techie, but  one of the responders on the support site was exceptionally patient and detailed in his instructions so that I/we were able to create the file, in the right place, with the correct instructions to solve the problem.  (Took several responses back and forth over the last month -- but we persevered to a successful solution.)

This was the first time that I had the opportunity to use Firefox help and am very happy with their help.  If you use a Firefox browser and have a problem, give "Help..Firefox Help"  at the top of your browser a click!
