My husband is one of those people.  Nobody, and I mean nobody, can do anything  better than his family (that does not mean me).  He managed to *bleep* me off because I told him that I didn't know how to burn CD's but he had to rub it in.  I got pissed, told him that was it.  Yesterday, he came in the house and suggested that I try it again.  I told him I had had enough of that.  He explained that my sister in-law told him something that made him think.  He is in charge of the Radio Ministry at our church.  Nobody berated him, but he berated me because he enjoys making me feel useless.  I told him there is no way I will do it (burn CD's) because his mouth got him in the doghouse, and he actually told me that I had to give him another chance to redeem himself.  I had to laugh at that because he figures he can say what he wants and I am supposed to forgive him for it.  I have no qualms with forgiving him, but don't criticize when you don't know how to do it yourself. ??? ??? ??? :peace: :peace: :peace:

Sounds like my sister-in-law. She thinks she and her kids can do no wrong but they are so Wrong.

I'm the absolute best at not praising myself. I don't think anyone is better.

Praise is an important part of life. Praise has to start from childhood. You do something good you get praise and recognition you do something bad you get punished or have a consequence. People who don't get enough praise or recognition seem to praise theirself alot more because they never got the satisfaction of being praised or recognized for something they did or tried to do. There are a few people out there that need that due to lack of it. When someone is praising theirself it's best to give them little nudge congrats, way to go, good on yah, It will give them a sence of recognizing they accomplished something. There are a few people who do like praise more than they should get but what does it hurt to give them that? Their is worse things that could happen in the world at least they are not doing something in a negative manner. Yes it can be annoying or get tireing but we all have our flaws. My brother loves getting recognition for something he has done. He will not let one thing go. If he buy's dinner you bet he wants you to thank him more than once. If he gives you a gift he is going to want a thank you more than once also. He just wants to know that people appreciate him and the things he do. I think it's because he never got it enough so when he does something he wants to know he is appreciated. It is the small things in life that can help people through a day of struggling and who are we to really take that away? A little compassion goes a long way
