I used to for many years and now have a big fat scoop mark in my arm because I only have one good vein. That said, I used to get paid $200 a month total for four donations and it saves people's lives so it was worth it I think.

Unfortunetly Nemics are not allowed to Donate anything.. Which I don't get.. Maybe i will contaminate something? Because It just means i have a low iron count.. But apparently if you have a low iron count you cannot Donate anything like blood or plasma.. According to my doctory anywas.. Besides that I have always been afraid of donating because my brother and his talk about big needles and that was the end of it ^_^

I have done it a few times for some extra cash when it was hard to make ends meet. I have not done it for a long time though b/c the plasma centers near where I live have extremely long wait times. I was there one time for 8 hours! I even tried to go when they first open and still ended up being there for 5 hrs.

I donate blood every couple of months and there was a time when I chose to donate plasma for extra cash.   I would never, never, never donate
plasma again because I nearly passed out.  I was very sick.  They don't just take your plasma they also put some kind of solution in your system.

For me, it wasn't worth the cash I received.
Have a great day!

Get this! I have a twin sister. She used to give plasma for many years because apparently she had something special in her plasma which was needed for premature babies (at least, that's what they told her). I on the other hand did not give plasma because I didn't have this something special. You know as you go through the years and you catch illnesses that then make you immune to certain things, I wonder what it was that she'd caught which I'd never had? Interesting.

You're not going to contaminate anything, but your being anemic means that your blood is deficient in red blood cells therefore your blood wouldn't be as helpful / healthful.

I tried donating plasma for money, but my veins aren't very easy to find so I wound up with huge bruises from one visit.  They won't take you with bruises because of the clotting danger so that was the end of that.  Don't like needles anyway.
