Guy friend
« on: August 03, 2013, 12:23:34 am »
such an aqward thing. A guy like me is hard to please and i trust nobody. Also i live in a town full of scumbags both male and female. For these reasons as sad as it is i have no friends. How does a completly straight man go about finding guy friends that are worth being friends with? Especially when they are somewhat anti social.

Finding and making friends can be hard.  Here are some ideas:  Join a club or attend a church, volunteer somewhere.  Sometimes when a person starts to help others they develop compassion for the ones they are serving. I work in a profession where I see the worst in people many times.  It would be easy to start thinking all people are like that.  I recently starting going to a home bible study and I have met a number of nice people.

I'm actually having a hard time making friends too, but it's because I uprooted my life and went from California to Oklahoma. I left all my friends and family behind and have had to start over.
I'm hoping that once I start school in a couple of weeks I'll start making friends.

Well.. You start by going up and introducing yourself.. That is always the best start to any friendship.. First step is the biggest! You can always talk about your intrests and their intrests Find a common Intrest!.. Guys are usually very easily pleased when it comes to being all buddy buddy.. You won't really know "if they are worth being friends with" untill you actually get to know them.. That's the sucky part :p. Wish you all the luck in your friend making
