"You do not perform a qualifying search."
« on: October 07, 2013, 08:49:37 am »
Please, I need help. This is a problem that I have encountered with my tool bar search. Every time I get this message while searching, I have to wait for a new month to start a valid search again. Is there anyone who can help me fix this, it's only the 7th, and I am already experiencing this. Please help!

So, one problem that I figured out early was that if you start writing something and click on one of the things that pop up under it instead of typing it out in full, then that won't qualify. Don't get trapped in this fashion and type out the whole word or phrase. Also, make sure to click on at least one result. Try to string similar search ideas together. For example, I chose a movie, then an actor in that movie, and then continued from there within that general idea. It does mention that the search bar will check to assure you're not typing a bunch of babble. Hope this helps!

I also noticed that about typing in the search fully.  Also that the searches have to be completely different.  Even if using different key words if the searches seem too similar, sometimes they will not credit. But I have never heard of having to wait until the next month.  I have always just went on and did a completely different search on a different topic.  For example, if I am looking for a computer desk, I may search "computer desks at amazon.com"  but my next search would simply be "walmart.com" and not include the desk in the wording for the search - I have had those not credit.  Also, I have noticed that it seems that they do not like searches on other survey sites.

I save up my searches and do four at a time. For instance, I do some traveling. I search places that either I am going to or would like to go to such as Atlanta, Boston, San Diego, Las Vegas. I have an interest in religion so I might search people such as Jesus, Moses, Buddha, Luther, etc. My searches are always something that I am genuinely interested in and, as said, I do four searches at a time very often n the same topic but completely different names.

I do them slowly and always click on one of the results making certain that I spend at least 30 seconds on one result. I have had some success doing FC searches.

I hope that my suggestion might help you.

you have to wait, fusion cash clears out the toolbar every now and then, it took about 3 week one time for it to reappear

Thank you guys for all the help and advice. I will definitely take my time as well as my search topics next time I am cleared to search again. It has been frustrating waiting until I am clear to search again as all my search results have been the same since the 7th. I still do not qualify for "any" search at this time. It could be my computer with firefox or it just not working properly for me. Mahalo!

I will add one thing to what everyone else has said.  You cannot do what one would normally do when searching: that is look at a result, decide it is not what you want, go BACK to the results and pick another one.  That will give you the "you did not perform a qualifying search" message. I thought so what if it wasn't qualifying I was interested in the results.  Well too many non-qualifying and they shut you down.  No one will tell you this.  I went round and round with the support who administers the toolbar and than to FusionCash support.  And all I got was to keep searching "naturally" and it will sort out.  (they wouldn't say it would reset next month or in a few weeks).  Also "naturally"??? :BangHead: I wanted to hit somebody I had tried to actually use it as a search engine!!  With the Radio loyalty and all the available videos.  I haven't needed to deal with the stress of the search thing.
