ATL

Ok so there is so much going on here in Atlanta this weekend. There is gay pride, a big game at the dome, the Braves are in town for a coupe home games GO BRAVES! Then there is Dragon Con as well. That stuff up there in town don't really effect me since we live below the airport. But what does effect us is the race traffic. We are about fifteen or so miles away from the track. But my girls were so happy. Thursday evening my 18 year old and I had to make a stop at the hotel where my parents were going to stay (but because of them being sick not able to come) so we had to go make sure their rez was cancelled. When we pulled into the parking lot we saw some of the trailers for NASCAR. We as a family love it and will watch it on TV when we can. We would love to go to race but not possible right now. We love Dale Jr. and they had one of his show cars back there and my daughter was in seventh heaven. Even took some pictures. But Yesterday when I walked into Sams I saw that the Sams car was going to be there between 1-7pm. We brought the girls up after school and they not only got to see the car but go inside the trailer and take all kids of pics. they also got to hear the car. OMG it is so loud! and they were right next to it. So a lot going on here as I said but that's the price we pay for living in a big city. Hope you all have a good holiday!

Okay so if I remember correctly the Braves won two of the three games this weekend. Dragon con had the streets of downtown Atlanta jam packed. A friend of my mom whose husband is one of the original artist for Marvel was there and they said that you had to park more then three blocks away and either take a cab or walk to where the activities were being held. My parents were going to come into town to see them but there would have been no way. and they( my parents friends) were even afraid to leave their hotel and try and come down this way to me. And as for the race: it was great from what I heard. we avoided all of the traffic trying to get to it.
