Flower Horns
« on: August 22, 2013, 08:32:58 pm »

My brother finally took off to Minnesota for his wedding.

So I'm left babysitting his fishes.

FLOWER HORNS.

They are such needy fishes. xD

LOL I say their needy because of the way my brother takes care of them.

He feeds them different types on food to enhance certain colors of his fishes which
gets pretty expensive.

He also has to keep an eye out for the temperature of the water.

The normal stuff. Just that whole color thing gets pretty crazy sometimes

Cool fish.  I never saw those before.  Are they fresh water tropicals?  I'd say the food to bring out their colors is worth it.  They're quite attractive.

I had tropicals once, but they weren't that spectacular.  I tried beta fish too.  I had one that flared every time I washed my hair and wrapped it in a towel.  He seemed to think it was a fighting display.   ::) :fish:

Oh, wow, what neat looking fish.  So pretty and colorful.  Do they get along well with other types of fish?  My mother and a couple of sisters have aquariums (I have never had much luck with aquariums) that this fish would look good in.  They have had problems in the past with certain types of fish that don't get along well with other types ~ to the point of eating the others.
Have a wonderful day!

Honestly, they get pretty aggressive. They bite too xD

Especially when they are hungry!
