Those of you that recognize my posts know that my family and I started eating healthier over a year ago. I just posted in another about fresh peaches becoming a savior in serving salads to my son.  So last night I made battered fish fillet's with a pineapple, kiwi, jalapeno sauce.  Some decked out green beans and a peach smoothie.  My son had 2nd's on this smoothie and polished it off later that night for snack.

1 glass jar of peaches - juice included (From aldi)
2 individual peach yogurts (From aldi)
juice from drained pineapples
cottage cheese - Probably 1 c.  (I just eyeballed it)
gigantic handful of spinach
A few hefty squeezes of honey
2 a little to ripe bananas
ice-cubes.
pumpkin pie spice to one's liking.

I blended this all together and Bam - it's like Magic watching my once obese son indulge on such a good for you snack!

I thanked your post. Maybe we will try this someday. We have tried various smoothies as healthy alternatives to desserts over the years and while I don't have exact ingredients maybe some of the members might want to try these variations.

Blueberries with almond milk (vanilla flavor)

banana smoothie (with yogurt, milk and honey as a sweetener)

apricot smoothie (with yogurt, milk and honey as sweetener)

I hope this helps.

Oh yes I do indeed love making smoothies with vanilla almond milk.  Have never tried making one with apricots although I think I should make that my next smoothie mission.

Cream of soups for a smoothie huh?  Don't know bout' drinking it out of a glass...but maybe eating it out of a soup bowl.
