Last Day of School

Today is the last day of school for my daughter. When does school end in your area?

My college ends at May 9, where all of my courses finish... HS will probably finish at the month of June

I know some of the girls around here are already out for the summer. I don't know which school they go to though. I think the rest of the kids get out around the beginning of June.

Most of our schools get out the end of June.  Our vacation is July, August and September.  They are the hottest months in this area.  It use to be a big deal, but now that air conditioners are finally in almost all the schools they are already talking about changing the schedules.  We have a lot of charter schools that go year round with short vacations throughout the year.  Most of the families that are on it like it and it seems the kids retain a lot more with shorter breaks.

May 24th. Then May 25th my daughter graduates, that has been a LONG HARD 13 years. I will be so glad this school year is over with. I drive a school bus ( for now) And this has been the worse year by far of any year, the kids and rude, mean and just don't care, the teachers and staff the schools don't seem to care either. I am looking at other jobs. I have had my fill of it.

Our local community gets out tomorrow (05/21).  My sister's school (she teaches) let out last Tuesday (05/14).  My daughter's school (she teaches, also) lets out this Friday (05/24).  Most of the schools start back the first part of August.  The kids usually miss a lot during the winter months due to the weather conditions.  We have been blessed the last couple of years and haven't had very bad winters so they didn't miss hardly any school to have to make up.

Here in Sandy Creek NY school ends on June 24.

Most of the colleges are out or doing final exams by now in New England but our public schools will be going till the end of June in most cases due to all the snow days. You must live in a warmer climate and didn't have any snow days. I hope your daughter enjoys her summer vacation.

My grandson's last day of school was May 22.  My husband and I went to his award ceremony on May 21, left him at school, and he came home on the bus with his report card.  I didn't send him on the bus on the 22nd.  He went to the classroom to hug his teacher and fellow classmates.  He is moving to Marietta, GA when his mother (my daughter) gets a car.
