I really expected someone to be injured!  It was amazing they weren't!

They have made the cars extremely safe over the years. I remember back in the 90s Jimmy Horton was racing at Talladega and he went completely over the wall and down an embankment in the first turn. Fortunately he walked away and there were no fans there. It is almost more dangerous sitting in the stands then being a driver on the track.

My jaw was dropped when i saw that race. But they were laughing. They were very very
lucky. I debated to my hubby about those guys talking on the micro-phone were laughing and seems
that they did not have some kind of feeling of if something might accidently happen
He said it was a game!!! Yeah right! People gambling for games and would put other on risk
situation...May Lord Our Savior protect them and Be Always with Them in any ways

There were two big wrecks in that race.  One much earlier which involved about a dozen cars and of course the last one after the rain delay.  I am a firm believer in the show must go on thinking but in this case I believe it was unwise to continue the race and this accident sort of proved the point and I hope the safety gurus within Nascar learn from this mistake.

that is what most fans pay to see is the big one! But they need to change something, a few years ago stand were full
of fans. But now some of the races are barely more then half full!

it was something to see....Glad no one was hurt, I was having my lunch break, and looking at the race, shortly after I sat down the accident happened, I still would love to go around the track at top speed....did you see how the yellow car avoided the accident and stayed in the race....

I was at work and had the race on but didn't get to see most of it ... just knew there
was a big accident.
