has anyone been scammed.  I just got scammed bigtime  J.D> Powers secret shopper.  Received letter in mail with a check. Called for instructions ok to cash check got paid three hundred dollars shouldmof realized that it was to much
money did assignments  check got returned to me and of coursedid not have enough money to cover got zonked
with fees  do you know were I can go and complain asbout this

Wow that stinks.  My mom got scammed by two different ptc sites she had been on for a long time.  She went through the BBB because they do take complaints about online companies as well.  Your problem is that is probably not J.D. Powers really but it doesn't matter if the company doesn't respond to the BBB all they do is put the complaint on file.

They tried to sca me one time and i just went to the post office. They have a fraud dept. and i guess they recieve thousands every month. As some one said if it looks too good to be true it is proably not and watch out.

My husband posted an advert on Craig's List in the job section and then the scamming started. The checks arrived in the mail and they really looked legit, but he took them to the bank and reported to the FBI fraud dept. I am always amazed that the scammers choose to scam the people who can least afford it.

It's because they are desperate enough to be vulnerable.

     Blame the banks and the games they play with customers. Yes! There are scammers in this world...you just have to be careful and protect yourself.
