I think people should have free health insurance period. To me this shows nothing more than how much the US government cares for it's citizens.  :angry7:

You can't blame the gov't too heavily. When insurance companies are dictating and cashing in on their own unfair practices, people are not getting help, medical prices are laughably high, and people who do get help can't pay the med bills, something needed to be done. This whole thing just makes it so that insurance companies play fair. Insurance premiums should be cut down dramatically too so they should be affordable. I currently pay 225$ a month out of pocket, and I've been told it should be cut down 35-40% when the AHCA kicks in. In concept it's really no different than paying a tax on the postal service, roads, police, firefighters, etc.

Falconer02, I see that they TOLD you that your premiums SHOULD be cut down by 35-40%.  I would like to hear back from you when those changes kick in for you.  Please let us all know if this comes to pass or if your premiums actually jumped.

Well the seniors will be shorted you can be sure. We all pay for medicare every month comes right out of our social security. Now The prez. is going to takepart of it to pay for medicaid. They haven't paid anything in. If congress had left the ss and medicare alone in the past years we would have been alright. But the stupid Dem. just want to spend spend on anything that is a pet project of theirs and the so called prez. Why are they sending so much money overseas when the USA needs taken care of. Now this stupid obama health care. Hey you working folks, nice chunk they are taking out of your paycheck now with the increase of ss payments. Oh i forgot obama said no new taxes. Hey he can't even get a balanced budget. And don't blame it all on the house. After they do get a bill the dems. knock it down along with the prez. Gees people wake up. If you are working you are going to pay for it. I know it affected my hubbys check.

A blood test costed us out of pocket over 200.00 still annoyed. Still annoyed and i did the What are they selling it to vampires or have to sell my blood to have a blood test. Will be soon a doctor tells you that you have cancer and you have to do certain things .You will say cancer ok whatever how much is it going to cost me?

Isn't insurance designed to pay for something out of the ordinary?
Why doesn't medical insurance work that way?  It's almost like drug companies and hospitals and insurance companies got together to gouge the public for profit. I know that sounds crazy, because in order to do that they would have to donate tons of money to candidates in both parties to get them to make laws that support their interests.

When the ahca comes into effect you can ask me! I do hope it does, though I'm willing to admit if I was wrong. I am aware of the other statistics saying the premiums will go up.

A perfect description of the state of American healthcare.
