Does anyone have any Biblical baby names that I could use?

we are having a baby, due sept. 26, and I need Ideas on Christian baby names? Any suggestions? It took us two weeks to name our cat...

I've always liked "Joshua" or "David" for boys names and "Hannah" for a girl.  Congrats and good luck.

I googled Biblical names and wow!!! the list is HUGE!

Some are common names.....Adam, Ruth, Mary, Hannah, Samuel, Anna

Others are unusual....Amariah, Adiel, Azarael.....

A lot of them I would never have known they were in the Bible.

I named my boys Gabriel and Eli. There are so many to choose from. Look to the Lord to help you decide. And by the way congratulations!

if the baby is a girl, name her Karis, which means "grace". I have a friend by that name. I met her, her brother, and her parents at Fellowship Baptist Church
back in 1995. since November 2004, I have been a Pentecostal Christian, but I still acknowledge my friends from other denominations.
other girl names in the Bible: Sarah, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Mary, etc
if the baby is a boy, Isaiah is a good name, and so is Abraham, Micah, Malachi, Isaac, Michael, Noah, and many more.
in the Bible, Abraham started out as Abram and his wife Sarah started out as Sarai.

Our cat is named Theophilus (also a biblical name).  I think it's easier to give cats strange names, but he is just "Theo" for short. 

We named our daughter "Maya."  The Hebrew cognate means "stream" or "brook."  Her middle name is "Evangeline" and our last name refers to (ironically) a person of small stature.  So her name literally means: "little stream, bringer of good news."
