Cops

I think there are good cops and bad cops, just like any profession.  But you have to give them credit because if you need them they are there, call 911 - they will come.  Sadly we have had to call them a few times, and hope you guys are never in the situation to need their help.

Public Enemy, as good as they are, really struck a nerve when they made a song called "911 Is a Joke". hopefully, no one took the song seriously.

I work with police everyday and I have the utmost respect for them.  They are underpaid, overworked, and see crime all they time that cannot be proven in court so they have to watch criminals get away with crime.    Of course there are better cops than others but tat is with any profession.

It's hard to say, I don't trust them because I've heard and seen on the news so many thing they do, but in the same way they protect us. Some are good guys, but there are a lot that are not its hard to know whos, who.

I know quite a few of them, including my little sister.  I think how we feel about them depends on the circumstances we are meeting them under.  If they are pulling us over for something we think is stupid- we hate them, if they stop the person trying to hold up the building we are in - we love them.  Just like every other walk of life, there are good cops, and bad cops - maybe thats where the term came from.

I think police are there for protection but they also have faults and that makes me upset.  This one police officer was off duty and as my sister and I where walking torwards her front door he came out and my sister ask him what he was looking for (now this is the police that searched for her husband twice) he asked her why she made a wide turn onto her road and than her driveway and she told him the power stering went out and than he asked if she had anything to drink and she said yes I ate at a Mexican restraunt and we had a margarita and so he had to do the subrided test ( which she passed) but he said she fell into the ditch which didn't happen we had 3 witnesses and he completely lied on his paper work so we got a lawyer and he wasn't much help she got two years probation, and suspended license until she took a dwi course.  When they looked at her criminal record there was nothing in the 39 years of her life.  So it was all about her husband who she has not seen in several years, she hasn't got a divorce because she can't afford one and has no idea where he is at.

I dont love cops but i don't hate them either. They are humans too only doing a job, making a living to support a family. I respect them.

Why, are they looking for me?  Have you seen them coming by my house?  Hang on, I've gotta look out the window...

Whew!  No one there!  That was close.

Actually, the police are OK as long as I behave.  I live in a townhouse-type condo and my immediate neighbor is a policeman.... he's a decent guy, so no problems here...
