Christmas package deliveries....

Do you think USPS, UPS and FedEx should deliver package and mails 7 days a week before Xmas?

Nope, I think they should have some family time like everyone else. A lack of planning on our part does not constitute an emergency on theirs.

True but I'm sad for the folks working in retail like Toys-r-us, Wal-mart and K-mart who are open 24 hours and Xmas day.

No. I think people need to plan ahead more and/or pay for expedited shipping. Everyone deserves days off. I don't think everything needs to be 7 days a week.

I understand that some people like to get the extra double or triple-time pay for working the holidays, but I think that  too much commercialism has ruined the true spirit of Christmas. I do remember when everything was shut down for Christmas and when I passed stores or restuarants with cars in the parking lots at 7:45 AM on Christmas Day, I was really dissapointed. Wish it wasn't all about money and more about Christ!

No, they shouldn't.  I agree with the others who said everyone needs time off to be with their family.  I remember the "good ol days" when NOTHING was open on Sundays.  This world needs to slow down and take a look at what is really important in life, like God and family.  Unfortunately illness never takes a day off, so I have great respect for those in the medical field who do work on weekends and holidays, but to make delivery people work seven days a week during this season is nonsense.

No, because that means their workers would have to work 7 days a week.  Plan ahead or pay the price, I say - and yes, I say that as someone who didn't ship early enough this year!

No, everyone deserves a day off.  Plan ahead and order early.
