Electric cars
« on: December 05, 2012, 12:07:28 pm »
I think electric cars are the waste waste of time and energy. They take the energy that they could burn gas and make electricity there are long lines which she waste electric energy. Then they put in  batteries which pollute the air when they get rave back yet relevant was a Onalaska couple years. Then he got back to buy new batteries in.

I think that the oil companies are making sure that electric cars remain too expensive for consumers.  In my opinion, electric cars are beneficial to the environment.  I hope that electric cars become more widely accepted in the future.

Every 100 years or so a group of scientists come along that progress society as a whole.  It's been about 80 years since the last group came around.  So, I'd imagine the next group will probably make something that doesn't run on gas or electricy that no one ever considered.  =-P

Electric cars have a long way to go before replacing gas vehicles.

For those who like electric cars and I mean not the toy card but the electric cars with a drive on the road I got one question for you 40th electricity from X? From burning fuel of gas and oil and coal and intellect and nuclear. Which pollutes the air of more than a few from a few cars that they will elect will replace! And who's paying for the roads when you have electric car use your Apple to pay for them you pay gas taxes on your electricity no so how are you paying for your share of the road maintenance?

Electrical cars sure wouldn't help us in the western and rural areas. Lordy we have todrive 80 miles just to go to a decent doctor. and shopping. Can go to the dr., and buy groceries and lunch on less then we would pay here in our town. Our grocery store is was too high on every thing. Only one in town. And the trucks on the major highways, can you see them on electric. It cost more to make the electric, then the gas fuel.

Every few decades a man like Thomas Edison comes along and sees the potential for a new way to harness energy and meets a person like Westinghouse who is willing to help him realize his dream until a man like Rockefeller from Standard Oil realizes that this is competition for his business so he wants the public to think that the dream is a nightmare until a banker like JP Morgan comes along and buys it all up and charges the people outrages prices to purchase a part of the dream.  Electric cars are new and still in thier toddler stage so I am willing to wait and see how they mature before I start to pass judgement on them.  But for what it is worth when folks want to move a large amount of tonnage over a long distance I certainly don't see them using gasoline but a diesel electric engine.

In the near future the combustion engine and fuel tank will become obsolete because there is a critical shortage of fuel worldwide. Probably, they will only be used for industrial purposes and in the construction industry. For the rest of us driving automobiles, we will have to deal with new technologies. Our vehicles will be all electric, solar, compressed natural gas or some other source.
