Best of luck to you!  Today is actually my 5 month anniversary w my husband.  We decided to go away to Vegas and get married.  wasn't a real surprise to anyone.  Both of set of parents went (his & mine) and my sister w her hubby.  It was a great time.  We had a big receiption back home about 2 wks after the deed.  It made it easier on me to enjoy the time with everyone.
I did love my sister's big hometown wedding, it was beautiful & fun.  But it just wasn't for me & my guy.
Find what works for you!  Again, best of luck.

Me and my husband also had a Las Vegas Wedding. I really wanted it to be about us as a couple rather than pleasing others so we both made the choice. For much less money we had a wedding and a honeymoon all in one.

Good luck on planning the wedding and don't forget you can ask friends, family and your significant other to help. You don't have to go it alone.

Yeah, planning weddings is always hectic. It's too bad that such a happy time can cause so much stress.

Wedding plan is very stressful. Try to take one thing at a time. Finalize plans for one thing instead of trying to do a couple of things at one time. This way you can be more focused. Do the small things first because those are the ones that can be the biggest headaches. I went online and printed off a wedding checklist and it helped. I gave one to my matron of honor, and my director. This way i had two other people to help me stay on track. These things may work for you and they may not. They were a big help for me so i just wanted to pass the ideas along. Good Luck and Congratulations!
