Back 2 School
« on: August 24, 2012, 07:05:39 am »
My oldest born son is starting kindergarten next week and I am excited yet nervous. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 4 years, and I think I am more worried and/ anxcious than he is. ;D I know it will be a good experience for me, it is just a big deal. It does not seem to bother my 5 year old very much, but he also has not started yet. His little brother is upset about it though, and knows he will miss him while he's gone.

My son started kindergarten last week. It was a very emotional time for us both. We had been getting him ready and telling him what was going on. When the time came for him to go to school he didn't want to go. He screamed and cried. He held onto me and wouldn't let go. The school counselor had to come and take him. She asked if wanted to be her partner in the assembly, but he still wouldn't go. Finally, I had to pull his hands off me and hand him to her. He was so afraid to go and crying hysterically that I started too cry as well. I hated leaving him. I hope you have a better experience than I did. Good luck.
