Is it easier to be married or to live the single life?

I was married for 25 years and I think it's much easier to be single and live alone.

I no longer take care of other people or clean up after other people.  I accommodate no one except myself and I answer to no one.  I love it!

I'm with you Sherri.  I tried marriage, it was expected, but I much prefer being single.  It has it's drawbacks in that I have to do everything that needs doing in my world, which coupled people don't seem to "get", but I wouldn't change things for anything.

I was married for awhile, and I've had a few long-term relationships where I might as well have been married.  Now that I've been single for awhile I really do enjoy it.  I like my own company, don't have to fight over the remote, and most of my hobbies are single-based activities that don't require another party to enjoy.

I really cannot imagine being single.
