gramev64~God wanted Adam&Eve to have a choice, just like us,whether we want to walk in His way,or go our own way. They unfortunately chose their way,&paid the ultimate price, having to leave the Garden of Eden&work for a living.falcon9~That constitutes unreasoned religious superstition;a fable, not fact.Much confusion seems to stem from an inability to discern the difference between the two. Contextually, that's what the fable is about - discerning differences.
*I agree w/falcon9 reasoning.I broke away frm the church along time ago b/c there r just 2many inconsistencies in what the bible really says or mean.& alot of people interpret it in their own way& except others 2interpret the same way!My interpretation of this so call "god," is that it's man-made.God is suppose 2b perfect, alot of things in humans r so imperfect.Wouldn't a real god want 2create children that r as perfect as it?A mirror image of the god?God must have been slacking off when it created us;look at all the evil things man has done in the past&present? As 4choice,we never had a choice, sum choice, u either follow my way or the highway!God to me is nothing more than a being w/greater power than us but nothing more than a child playing tricks w/his toys when bored!Man calls it, being tested by god!I call it child's play! Lilith,Adam,&Eve,kill your only son if you believe in god.Marking over your door w/blood in order to save your first born.Mass suicides in the name of the lord. Holy wars, what is so holy about killing each other over a god? Or killing each other because the enemy doesn't believe in your god? Again, there is no God, only  people that need to create something greater than themselves because they don't have the confidence to grow up & stop being afraid of the monsters under the bed. Grow up make your own choices, grow up & believe in yourself! :peace:

Lean not on our own understanding but the things of God are much higher than the things we can see. God lets us see what He wants us to see, but through the sin corruption of the earth, we are not able to see all, and that is why we do not have that understanding. It is very simple, satan is a liar, thief and destroyer, he lied and deceived eve into thinking if she ate from the tree she would gain knowledge, but oh look, it happened just the opposite. Now the blessings were gone, sin corrupted everything on earth, man, woman and every good thing that could of been. It was not until God revealed to us the things of God that He wants us to see now, The Holy Spirit reveals to us many things when we have faith and let our eyes be opened, when we have our new sinless bodies we will be able to understand and if you ever read Revelation, you will know that the Lamb of God is the only one that can break the seven seals, and when the seals are broken then we will know.

That's an unsupported, faith-based opinion which rests upon nothing of substance.  Belief is not substantive nor, evidentiary.

“Faith: Belief without evidence in what is told by one who speaks without knowledge, of things without parallel.”
-– Ambrose Bierce

God gave mankind free will.
Mankind has responsibility in a life of faith.....
to make a foundation of faith and substance.
Believing and taking initiative with faith.
Our conscience knows right from wrong.
God has power when we do our part in faith....
He will bless our efforts.
Mankind has potential to do big things....when we get our inspiration from God.

Blind faith *sees* nothing, fabricating nonsense out of the unseen.

God gave us the ability to make our own decisions an d to know the difference between right and wrong. He also told wat the outcome would be if we made the wrong decison. However, the choice is ours.

God gave us the ability to make our own decisions

There's no evidence that some supernatural egregore "gave us" anything, (keeping in mind that 'faith/belief' is not evidence and neither is a document of hearsay/'bible').

"I suggest that the anthropomorphic g-d idea is not a harmless infirmity of human thought, but a very noxious fallacy, which is largely responsible for the calamities the world is at present enduring."
-- William Archer
